Per new allegations from a informant, the convicted associate of Jeffrey Epstein, now completing a 20-year prison term for sex-trafficking crimes, is allegedly readying a commutation application for review by the presidential administration.

Preferential Handling Alleged at Correctional Facility

House Democrats on the judicial oversight panel revealed that a whistleblower provided evidence indicating Maxwell is working on the commutation application. Additionally, they mentioned she has been receiving special treatment at the minimum-security facility in Texas.

Congressman Jamie Raskin, the ranking member on the committee, stated in a news release that the facility's chief was assisting the convict with copying, printing, and sending documents to aid her effort for executive mercy.

Specific details of the clemency request remain unknown, Raskin added.

Claimed Perks and Custom Arrangements

The representative claims that, per the insider, Maxwell has been receiving “customized” meals that are “personally delivered” to her living area, and the supervisor has individually organized private meetings for her and her guests.

The visits reportedly involve a “special cordoned-off area” for visitors and a variety of food and drinks for her associates.

Maxwell’s visitors were also allowed to carry electronic devices, which the congressman characterized as an “unprecedented action” given the security risk and potential for unmonitored communications.

In one alleged instance, when communications failed for other inmates, she was provided directions about instructing her associates to contact and how staff would connect the communication to her.

Warden as “Personal Secretary”

The whistleblower further reportedly told House Democrats that when Maxwell wanted to examine and modify papers promptly, she reportedly employed the warden as her private aide.

The news release indicates that those writing to her would send files directly to the supervisor, who would provide them to Maxwell, who would review and edit them and return them to the official to digitize and send to the original sender.

Extra Benefits Alleged

Further perks reportedly provided to her include opportunities to interact with a trainee assistance dog – a perk not “ordinarily allowed” – as well as private after-hours access to the facility's gym.

Her legal counsel did not immediately respond to a request for comment regarding the insider's allegations.

In a statement, the presidential office said that it “will not discuss” on possible pardon appeals.

“As President Trump has stated, granting clemency to Ghislaine Maxwell is not something he has thought about,” the representative added.

Recent Background

Over the weekend, reports surfaced that she told close associates in electronic messages that she was “much happier” at the new prison than her previous prison.

This past summer, she was moved from a low-security prison in Florida's capital to the less restrictive prison in the state, where most detainees are serving time for financial and non-violent crimes.

The transfer, which experts described as exceptional, occurred just shortly following she was interviewed about the Jeffrey Epstein investigation by the senior justice official, Todd Blanche, who also once acted as Donald Trump's personal lawyer.

That interview came as the administration was facing increasing scrutiny to disclose additional files related to the ongoing probe and amid intense speculation around the President's own connections to the fallen billionaire and adjudicated criminal, who was found dead in a New York jail in 2019 while awaiting prosecution on trafficking accusations.

Congressional Response

Through the statement, the congressman also revealed that he had sent a letter to Trump, requesting explanations about the whistleblower’s allegations, and urged the president to deny the clemency appeal.

“It would be inappropriate to approve any type of pardon to this adjudicated and remorseless sex offender,” Raskin wrote in the document. “The government must not offer her with room service, with puppies to play with, with government agents waiting on her every need, or with any preferential handling or facility benefit at all.”

Raskin requested that Blanche appear for a public congressional hearing to address the disclosures and also presented several inquiries to Trump.

Raskin asked whether he had discussed a possible clemency for Maxwell with the official or others, whether he had instructed Blanche or anyone else to provide her with the move or special conditions in prison, and whether Maxwell, her attorneys, relatives or agents have made any commitments to Trump or his legal team.

The representative requested for a response to the questions by the specified date.

In October, the US supreme court rejected an petition from the convict on her trafficking verdict.
